NAELB NEW MEMBER APPLICATION

1.         IRS STATEMENT

Note: The Internal Revenue Service has determined that association membership dues are not charitable contributions but may be deductible as an ordinary business expense. The NAELB does not represent or warrant how you may treat the payment of dues for tax purposes and advises you to consult with your CPA or other tax preparer for their advice.

2.         ACCEPTANCE OF APPLICATION BY THE NAELB

The applicant for acceptance acknowledges that the within application is an application for membership. The applicant for acceptance further acknowledges that the acceptance of the application by the NAELB is provisional for 120 days, as further described in this application and that the application for membership is subject to acceptance by the NAELB. The Applicant further acknowledges that the within application is subject to further review, the request for further information and potential rejection for membership. In the event Applicant refuses to provide further requested information, then such refusal shall be grounds for rejection of the within Application.

Applicant or its principals may also be asked to provide credit information such as social security number, tax identification number, bank references or other information as deemed necessary by the Board of Directors to determine the reputation and character of the applicant or its principals. Applicant acknowledges that the providing of the aforesaid information may be used to obtain a credit report on Applicant and their principals.  Applicant acknowledges that if the Applicant and their Principals refuse to provide such information, the refusal shall be a basis upon which to reject Applicant's application.

3.         AFFIRMATION OF THE NAELB CODE OF ETHICS & MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS 

The NAELB prides itself on its members abiding by the NAELB Code of Ethics in their dealings with others in the leasing industry as well as those outside of the leasing industry. NAELB members pledge to honesty, integrity and fair dealing with all those they come in contact with in their business relationships. By joining the NAELB, members agree to abide by the dispute resolution program of the NAELB to be certain that members adhere to the NAELB Code of Ethics. Upon acceptance of this online application, the NAELB member agrees to adhere to the NAELB Code of Ethics and the requirements put forth by the member's chosen membership category.

Broker Member - $295 per year
    

Full membership in the NAELB as Broker members shall be open to independently owned, non-bank owned or affiliated firms that are engaged in the equipment leasing brokerage business and that agree to accept and endorse the NAELB Code of Ethics and Bylaws.  Broker membership shall be open to those firms that do not actively and routinely solicit financing transactions from other brokers, and are not engaged primarily or substantially in the business of providing education, goods, services, benefits or other tools of the trade to others in or entering the leasing industry and who are known to the Board of Directors as an individual, entity or company that does not primarily or substantially engage in forms of business other than equipment leasing brokerage.

Funding Source Member - $750 per year
    

Funding source membership shall be open to those that are engaged in the providing of funds, directly or indirectly, for the financing of equipment lease transactions and who agree and endorse the NAELB Code of Ethics and Bylaws.  An NAELB Funding Source member shall have no voting rights.

Associate Member - $600 per year
    

Associate membership in the NAELB shall be open to all firms or organizations who have an interest in the equipment leasing industry by providing education, goods, services, tools of the trade or other benefits to equipment leasing brokers and who are not otherwise eligible for membership in any other membership category specified and who agree to accept and endorse the NAELB Code of Ethics and Bylaws.  An NAELB Associate Member shall have no voting rights.

Additional Broker Member - $145 per year

Secondary User
    

Additional employees of paid members that will have access to the website. Please fill out the requested information and NAELB headquarters will confirm with primary member and send confirmation on your secondary user status.  Member companies can have up to two Secondary Users at no additional charge.
